Pharmacy

Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria is owned by two pharmacists, Rachelle Rocha and Laurie Pennell.  We were both born and raised in Sudbury, graduatefrom the University of Toronto and have each been in practice for more than 20 years.  We have specialized knowledge in managing chronic illness with medications and lifestyle factors.  We are offering our support in your health journey.  Rachelle, and many of the staff, offer service in French

Managing Chronic Illnesses

If you or someone you love is having problems with managing their chronic illnesses, and would like to explore how food choices might be influencing health, we have specialized knowledge in this regard.  We offer bubble packs to help you remember to take your medications at the right time.

Perscriptions

We support clients who are experiencing mobility challenges, have recently been injured or concussed, or who require bubble packs to help in remembering to take all of their medications at the right time each day.

Addictions

We understand the complexities around addiction, whether this is to prescriptions, recreational drugs or processed food. We believe it is important to support clients in recovery, and we do provide naloxone kits, methadone and suboxone, in a respectful, private manner, promoting inclusion with the broader community. We can also work with prescribers to recommend tapering regimens for coming off of certain medications safely.

Vaccinations

Every fall, we offer the flu shot, for free, for anyone aged 2 years and older.  For seniors over the age of 65, we offer the high dose flu shot. Please call for an appointment, 705-222-2200.  For a $20 fee, we will vaccinate for the following diseases:
Flu shot, Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG), Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), Hepatitis A (Havrix) and Hepatitis B  (Engerix-B), the combination (Twinrix),   Herpes Zoster (Shingles) (Shingrix), Human Papillomavirus (HPV) (Gardasil), Japanese Encephalitis, Meningococcal disease, Pneumococcal disease (pneumovax), Rabies, Typhoid, Varicella and Yellow Fever.

*COVID19 vaccinations are currently unavailable at any pharmacy*

Transferring Your Prescriptions to Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria

We would like for you to choose us, to be your pharmacists.  There are two simple ways to do this.  If you have had prescriptions filled at a different pharmacy, we will telephone them and transfer all your medications to our computer system.  If there are no refills, we will contact your doctor, specialist or nurse practitioner, to arrange for new prescriptions. Alternatively, you could let your prescribers know that you have changed pharmacies and ask them to program our fax  number into their electronic prescribing system.  Our fax number is 705-419-2410.  Pharmacies are obligated to transfer prescriptions to any other pharmacy upon the request of a client, or pharmacist acting on behalf of a client.  If you let us know ahead of time, by about a week or so, we can be sure to have your medication in stock, if it is something that we do not have.  We have product replenishment five days a week, so we can get just about anything by the next business day.
