Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Every month we will be featuring one of our amazing local producers in our newsletter. This month we will start with Sheldon Creek Dairy.

Sheldon Creek Dairy is built on the third generation Haanview farm nestled in the rolling hills of the Sheldon Valley.  The farm is owned and operated by the den Haan Family. Sheldon Creek Dairy has 75 purebred Holstein cows in the milking herd. They produce and bottle their non-homogenized milk completely on their farm, so you get the freshest product possible.

The cows are pasture fed in the spring and summer months and in the winter, get fed a grassy alfalfa hay which is grown on the farm. The milk is fresh, natural and minimally processed and is antibiotic and hormone free. The milk is non-homogenized and minimally pasteurized at 72 degrees for 16 seconds. This keeps the nutrients intact and makes it easier to digest. Sheldon Creek is the first farm in Canada to offers A2 protein milk which is 100% Milk free from A1 proteins. There are studies that suggest individuals with allergies, autoimmune disorders and lactose intolerance, can both tolerate and benefit from drinking milk with the A2 protein.

Sheldon Creek partners with other local producers to create a wide range of products with their milk including butter, ghee, cheese, yogurt, kefir and many other tasty treats. Because of our pre-order system, you can purchase any of the dairy products that Sheldon Creek offers and pick them up here in Sudbury.

We will be showing this film at 10:30 at the Ramsay Room at Science North.

Seasons is proud to be a sponsor of the annual Seedy Sudbury Event, coming up very soon!! Good Health comes from Good Food which comes from Good Seeds!! Please join us to learn about seed saving, growing fruit trees and about the medicinal and culinary herbs that grow in our region. Most people think of Sudbury as a mining town, or a recreation space, with all of our lakes and amazing seasonal adventure experiences. But we have great growing conditions, especially for climate adapted species

Vendors and nonprofit organizations will be present to sell products and share information related to these topics. It will be a great way to make new friends, meet up with old ones, and become inspired about the possibilities!
