Lamb - DEPOSIT for Jan 2025 processing date
This listing is for making a DEPOSIT ONLY for lambs/hogget
We are working with local farmers, Adam Rocha & Mikaela Parr along with Madelaine Rocha and Ethan Young. Processing Date is Thrusday, January 18, and the pick up date will be shortly after that.
There are three distinct costs associated with a locally farmed product, There is a fee for the farmer to raise the animals, based on hanging weight, a fee at the abattoir to humanely dispatch the animal, which is supervised by a provincial meat inspector , and finally there is a cost to butcher the animal to your custom specifications.
The final price will be available once all of the expenses and the final weights are known. You will be contacted with a final price prior to the pickup, and payment must be received upon pickup. All product will be picked up at Seasons Pharmacy and Culinaria on the date specified, if you could do your best to attend the pharmacy on that date, that would be ideal, as there is limited storage on site.
Lambs will not be frozen and must be picked up on the specified date, which is yet to be determined but within a week. Product that is not picked up within a week will be sold and deposits will not be returned. Deposits are not refundable or transferrable. If you use the “pay in store” code, all deposits must be made within one week or your preorder will be cancelled.
Because of the variable cost of feed and ultimate weight of animal, we are unable to give an estimate of the final price, but expect a full lamb to be about $500 +/-$100

Type St. Jacob / Icelandic Cross
Hogget (12-14 months old) - $10/lb hanging weight
Lamb (<1 year old) Kill Date: January 2025 Price $11/lb hanging weight.
